Mecabricks General Discussion
The name pretty much covers it for this one. This topic is for discussing the latest improvements brought to Mecabricks by the almighty Scrubs. Bugs should be reported on Mecabricks, where scrubs will see them, but discussion and everything else can go here.
Use Mecabricks in the WorkshopMecabricks Forum For praising Scrubs, (or tutorials and bugs) but mainly the first one. Our Digital Tutorials Board

I really love Mecabricks, but the rendering process is too complicated for me, so once I have designed a project at mecabricks, I rebuild my models at LDD, then I "bluerender" them, and then back to to mecabricks

The layout of blender can be very intimidating at first but once you get the hang of it it's actually surprisingly easy to create awesome pictures. Have you already tried the new Mecabricks addon for Blender? It pretty much does everything for you. Make sure you've downloaded the latest blender lite template on Mecabricks. (You can check the Purchases tab on your profile page in order to see if you're up to date.) Scrubs included a PDF in the download folder that shows you how to instal the addon. You can also download the blender daily builds in order to have the denoiser feature. (The top links are the ones for the daily builds.) This'll speed up the rendering process a lot. (Please note that since this is an experimental build you can't fully install it. Instead you'll have to run it from the unzipped folder and don't worry, your old blender program will remain unchanged.) The latest download folder on Mecabricks also includes a denoise template. Then you just have to choose an environment texture, adjust the camera and press the render button. If you have any other questions then feel free to ask.

yes, I have to give it a try... Also there is another use for LDD, wich is collision check. That's where LDD and MB are complementary, sometimes you need those restrictions, and sometimes those restrictions are restricting you too much

Collision check is definitely the primary reason I still use LDD as well as Mecabricks. That and creating the appearance of randomness is much easier to do in LDD.
